Photo Tips

Clothing Choices - I recommend long sleeved, earth-tone tops (brown, grey, black, rust, green, blue), denim or dark jeans, and leather or denim jackets. Avoid solid white, bright orange or red. Keep the tonal range of clothing in the same group. Avoid mixing lights and darks in the same outfit. Try to match your clothes to your eye color. Bring both casual and formal choices of outfits. Most importantly, wear something you feel comfortable in, and something that makes you smile☺.

Glasses - Glare is always a concern with glasses. I would suggest removing the lenses or obtaining blank frames from your optical store to avoid glare and distortion.

Hair Style - Don’t get your hair cut within a week of the photo session. A good hairstyle takes a few days to settle in.

Complexion - Don’t worry about blemishes. With digital photography, blemishes and cold sores can be removed.

Props - Props can add personality and character to a photograph. Bring a favorite hat, sunglasses, uniform, musical instrument, or hobby item and we will try a few shots.

Photos should capture your personal style, your moods, and your personalities – no matter how many you may have! Be prepared to smile, look happy, surprised, pensive, and do a little acting.
